Entrevista de Nick Carter en la revista Sneak
**MUSICA ME SALVO DEL INFIERNO DE LA REHABILITACION **
Pensaste que solamente uno de los Backstreet boys tenía problemas?
Piensa otra vez. El rompe corazones, Nick Carter, ocultaba sus
propios problemas. Él ya tenia problemas con su peso, una batalla con
los licores y lo arrestaron el pasado mes de enero. Ahora pensarias
que lo último que él ahora desearía es una nueva carrera como solista
aventurada -- pero estas equivocado. "Pude haber terminado como AJ"
Nick nos confeso. "solamente mi música me salvo."
Nos reunimos con Nick en LA donde él está promoviendo su nuevo albúm
y esta tan feliz como nunca lo habiamos visto. Ha sido un viaje largo pero
ahora esta, sano y positivo sobre su futuro. Pero para encontrar la
raíz de sus problemas, tenemos que ir denuevo al principio...
Gente despiadada
Nick ha sido un Backstreet boy por diez años y en el medio hace 7 años. Él tenia 15 cuando la banda lanzó su primer material y
el crecimiento en el negocio de la música no fue una
buena experiencia. "Tu vez algunas cosas rudas y conoces a gente
despiadada," revela. "he visto gente que lastima a alguien solo por
dinero o por fama. Su confianza es soplada fuera de la ventana." Él
encontró la única manera de sobrevivir debía retirarse para
adentro. "pongo para arriba una barrera para asi protegerme," dice
Nick. "me retiré en mi cáscara." Esa cáscara llevaría siete años más

divertirme como toda la gente de la universidad.Tu vez a la gente con
una vida y piensas, ' deseo eso ' -- y para ti es tan dificil."
Era un círculo vicioso. Cuanto más Nick bebiera, estar presionado era
lo que conseguiría. Y los resultados se dieron a la luz..
EL ARRESTO
"En el ultimo tour habían puntos bajos," Nick admite. "las cosas que
sucedieron con mi detención (Nick fue arrestado porque el no quizo
moverse después de un incidente fuera de un club el pasado mes de
enero), qué sucedieron con AJ -- comenzaba a ir abajo de ese camino."
Y cuando Nick necesitó maás que nunca la ayuda de los demás
Backstreet,estos estaban ocupados con otras cosas. "era difícil
porque algunos de los chicos tenian esposas[ Brian y Kevin ambos se
casaron el verano pasado casado ] y, naturalmente, intentaban prestar
la atención a sus propias vidas. Tenían sus propios autobúses en las
giras, como una cosa de familia, así que estaba bastante solo. Me
observaba a mi mismo y mi salud me preocupo. No deseé tratar mi cuerpo
gravemente. Deseé sacarme ésto."
Momento crucial
Pero Nick no terminó en rehabilitación. Lo cual es obvio ya que el
esta en el hotel del LA al lado de la playa de Santa Mónica (pienso
que Baywatch) y dijo que él es "más feliz que nunca." ¿Pero cómo él
lo hizo? "no paré las fiesta hasta que comencé a grabar mi material a
solas," él dijo. "repentinamente, me golpeó -- otra vez. Encontraría
una manera de lanzar la música que he querido siempre desde que era un
niño."
Para Nick, poner sus pensamientos en la música era el momento
crucial -- una manera de analizar las barreras que él pondría para
arriba como adolescente. "se que es una terapia para mí. Hizo que
tuviera una mejor sensación y ahora estoy orgulloso de mi otra vez.
No sé qué habría sucedido si no hubiese entrado el estudio a
escribir. Hubiera sido malo. Habría podido terminar como AJ.

EL VIEJO NICK..
Ahora,Nick encima del mundo. "conseguí que el viejo Nick regrese" él
dice, con una mueca. "soy feliz, tengo energias, amo lo que estoy
haciendo y estoy listo para demostrar al mundo lo que tengo. Es como
que estoy comenzando todo otra vez." Con éso, él nos dio una sonrisa
de emisión, como un hombre que reconoce que tuvo un escape muy
afortunado!
Entrevista a Nick Carter en una radio de Texas
DJ: ¿Hola?
N: Hola
DJ: ¿Hola?
N: ¿Qué pasa?
DJ: ¿Es Nick?
N: Si, soy Nick.
DJ: Aw...se oía como una chica, hombre. ¿Qué pasa amigo? ¿Dónde estás hoy?
N: Estoy en Los Ángeles
DJ: ¿Qué estás haciendo en L.A?
N: En realidad estoy aquí para hacer algunos shows de TV y cosas. Hice este programa de "American Dream", hice un episodio.
DJ: Eso es muy cool, ¿y cómo te fue?
N: Salió muy bien. Me tuve que vestir con algunas prendas viejas, algo de los 60, quizá 50.
DJ: Oh...es ese el show que va a transmitirse en fechas próximas?
N: Yeah exactamente. Mira, yo toco en un grupo llamado Jay (?) Americans y yo era Jay y tuve estos extras... actores... ellos eran los Americans...y canté estas 2 canciones sobre el escenario, además de que hice algo de actuación.
DJ: Eso es duro, amigo.
N: Sip.
DJ: Asi que has sacado esta nueva canción, Help me. Le está yendo muy bien...
N: Sí... es asombroso. Quiero decir, me encanta.Es uh... va de acuerdo con cosas por las que estoy pasando ahora mismo.
DJ: Bien. ¿Entonces tú escribiste esa canción?
N: No, en realidad... la primera vez que la escuché...sentí que tenía que grabarla. Fue genial.... todo el album tuve la oportunidad de decidir qué quería grabar y que no quería hacer. Así que considero que fue completamente mi elección... también ecsribí gran parte del album.
DJ: ¿Tocaste algún instrumento en él?
N: No, no lo hice porque... digamos que me di cuenta que era bueno escribiendo *risas*
DJ: *Risas*
N: Empecé a escribir y eso. Aunque toco la guitarra y la batería... um.. me interesaba más estar concentrado en escribir buenas canciones, ya sabes... y coescribiendo con gente varias cosas, tratando de hacer lo mejor que se pudiera... para tener buen material en el album.
DJ: ¿Y cuándo sale el album?
N: El album se lanza el 29 de octubre.
DJ: ¿Qué es lo que podemos esperar que sea lo siguiente del album?
N: Aún no lo sabemos. Probablemente será cosa de decidir entre tres canciones, My confession, I got you o... um son cuatro... Heart without a home o Cry for you. Una de esas cuatro.
DJ: Vi en el Making the video cuando hablabas acerca de sentirte deprimido cuando estabas en los Backstreet Boys. ¿Qué quisiste decir con eso?
N: Fue porque cuando estas a menudo lejos de casa y siempre fuera, siempre en giras... quiero decir... estuve en giras durante los pasados 7 años de mi vida.
DJ: Ugh! Ni siquiera puedo imaginármelo.
N: Ya sabes. Yo no tenía... cada vez que regresaba a casa, una vez al año, apenas estaba como máximo un mes o dos. El resto del año estaba fuera.

Y lo que yo estaba tratando de decir es que cuando por fin eres capaz de parar y tomarte algo de tiempo para ti mismo y hacer otras cosas, puedes mirar el espejo y ver tu rostro, y darte cuenta de si estás haciendo las cosas correctamente o no.
DJ: Huh.
N: Es decir... hoy puedo en verdad... estoy tomando la oportunidad de encontrar exactamente quien soy. Fui capaz de ayudarme a mi mismo y ahora me siento como que puedo ser mejor de lo que nunca fui antes. ¿Entiendes?
DJ: ¿Así que este es el fin de los BSB?
N: No...no, para nada.
DJ: ¿No estás diciendo eso solamente porque estás al aire, o si?
N: No, no no... para nada. No es el final. Howie apenas vino a la grabación del video.

N: Digamos que hay puntos en la vida de todos que tratan de disfrutar, cosas que no pudieron hacer por estar estos 7 años en tour.
DJ: ¿Cómo va tu hermano?
N: Oh...Aaron lo está haciendo muy bien. Está pateando algunos traseros. Ahora mismo está en tour... vendiendo algo así como 10,000, 20,000 lugares.

N: Uh huh.

Decidió iniciar una nueva fase en su carrera artística, Nick Carter lanza un disco en solitario, a juicio de Nick, este trabajo discográfico, Now or Never, es un disco que- tal como lo manifiesta en su titulo llegó en el momento preciso. Su idea de independizar su vida profesional surgió cuando se encontraba en Japón, país que visitó en el marco del tour mundial junto a Backstreet Boys.
Carter esta confiado en su trabajo y, por lo mismo, siente la seguridad de que muchos lo disfrutarán. Pienso que a todos les va a gustar,señala.
¿Fue entretenido hacer este álbum?
-Sí, fue entretenido. Es lo que más he disfrutado en mucho tiempo. Estar en el estudio, escribir mis sentimientos, viajar alrededor del mundo, viendo viejos amigos, productores, conociendo gente nueva, viendo nuevas caras. Todas esas cosas son lo mejor al hacer un disco.
¿Qué crees que van a pensar las fans de BSB?
-Cuando comencé a grabar me encontré a mí mismo y me di cuenta de todas aquellas cosas que había estado haciendo desde que era niño. El resultado lo escribí.
Fue una terapia para mí, una gran terapia. Realmente espero que las fans sean el soporte y al verme feliz, talvez, eso las haga felices. Eso es todo lo que quiero.
Ahora esta listo, ¿qué piensas del disco?
-Estoy muy orgulloso y muy feliz, me siento mejor. Cada cosa que he hecho es mejor que la anterior. Estoy orgulloso de la música que he compuesto y de la forma en que lo hago, trabajando con los productores. Mis influencias siempre han sido el rock, siempre he sido un fanático de las grandes composiciones del rock & roll, desde que era niño, tanto del rock clásico como del moderno.
¿Qué arreglos van a sorprender a la gente?
-Pienso que el álbum entero sorprenderá a la gente. Si ellos lo escuchan, van a estar sorprendidos porque es diferente. Tengo 22 años y estoy listo para sorprender.
¿Vamos a ver a un NicK Carter diferente? ¿ Es de esa forma como te ves a ti mismo?
-Sí, por supuesto. Esto es como me veo a mi mismo, porque es totalmente mío...Talvez yo muestro solo un 30 o 40 % de lo que realmente soy.

I: How difficult was it to break away and launch your own career?
Nick: It was difficult, but I'veI've been with the guys =
you know
since I was 12 years old so I mean, this is something that I've been =
wanting to do for a long time, but you know. ButI've always be=
en
really dedicated, you know. I was dedicated with the guys for so
long. Now I just kinda, things just kinda fell into place.
I: Did they fall into place or did they fall apart? Because there's
certainly lots of news out there. *Nick clears his throat* I guess it
makes sense that after 10 years things change. (Nick inserts
a "yea.") What was it like being part of that?
Nick: Well, I mean, of course there's always gonna be different
opinions and different you know perceptions on everything when it
comes to the group. But like I said, I've been doing it since I was
12 years old and I mean, if everybody wants to know, everything's
cool you know, with us. We'rewe're everything's great.
I: So the Backstreet Boys are not breaking up?
Nick: No, not breaking up, but we're taking a little bit of time for,=
you know, to do individual things. Some of the guys are getting
married. Umm some of the guys areactually Brian's havin=
g a baby. So
I think they wanna take time in their personal lives and this is
really personal to me.
I: Absolutely going out on your own. It's also putting yourse=
lf on
the line, really. You don't have the protection of the group behind
you. Does that frighten you at all?
Nick: Ummin some ways it does because it is all me and, you know,
you worry about sayin' the wrong things *makes a smirky face into the=
camera and his voice goes low* like on television. *laughs* No, I'm
just playin'. You justit's a, it's a weird situati=
on, but at the
same time it's fun because, you know, after 10 years of doing
it..ummmit's kinda like a new flame. It's reallyi=
t's like
adventurous, you know, fun, new and everything. And- (interviewer
cuts him off dammit!)
I: Do you want a new image at all? Do you get tired of the clean cut
pop band guy? Do you want to grow up and let the fans let you grow
up? (I liked this question)
Nick: Well, I mean, forfor so many years I've always been;you know
since I was a little kid I've always grew up to rock music and ;I've always loved rock music. And, you know, I love the elements of the
guitars and drums and umm although I love that, I also love other
types of music, too. When I was with BSB, pretty much we were dancing
andand, you know, doing pop R&B songs. And now I get a chance to
just do whatever the heck I wanna do! You know, just let it all out
on the line and by myself. That's basically what happened. I'm =
like
I'm able to just show, show people the true me. Alot of the fans
who've stuck by us forever, they know how we individually are and
hopefully they're all likejust waitin', you know?
I: I'm actually fascinated by how far the fans take the hysteria, as =
far as stealing grass off of the front lawn of the Backstreet Boys
homes. I mean, that comes with a huge price tag. Do you feel in a way
that you're a part of musical history, in a sense? Whatever that
boyband image is.
Nick: I mean, I don't think so. I mean, I believe so. *makes a face
like damn, I messed up.* I think we were definitely part of something
very big. Ummin a way , you know, I'm only 22 so it's li=
ke hopefully
it's gonna keep going. I mean, I don't know it it's neces=
sarily gonna
go on that level because, I'm, I'm entering a whole new realm w=
hen it
comes to music, everything, cause things are kinda starting to
change. But ummI mean, yea I do believe that I was part of something=
like that.
I: And what kind of world was that like? I mean certainly as a reader
of the news or entertainment stuff you get a sense that there was
some rivalry Backstreet Boys, "N' Sync, you're bo=
th sort of
fighting for the same audience. That's from an outsider's point=
of
view. What was it like being inside of that?
Nick: Well, I mean, like you can get caught up in like this
whirlwind, just this, this big like rollercoaster and, you know,
drama and, and that, that, that was really difficult because when the
press and everybody puts you in that category then you start, you
know, to listen to that stuff.
I: You get paranoid?
Nick: Yea you can get paranoid. You can start, I mean, you just start
really losing track of and focus of what it's all about, what youR=
17;re
doing in the first place. And I mean, that's, that's why I̵=
7;m really
doing what I'm doing right now because I'm very focused on the =
one
thing, that's just doing music and, and trying to do it good and the =
reason for doing music is to make other people happy. To see other
people happy.
I: You know you just brought up a really good point, certain
challenges within the band and you must've been like brothers. How
you all dealt with, when one band member is struggling with
addiction, for example. How does that affect the group?
Nick: The group? I mean, it comes to situations like. I mean, it's
it's it can be difficult to handle becasue the person it's a pe=
rsonal
issue with them and sometimes if there's things that you wanna do or =
if the other four, the other four members wanna do and there's an
issues, you know underlying with, you know, another member of the
group, you know, you have to really take that into consideration you
know because it's a personal issue. But I mean, you, but things like =
that, as you can see, they happen a lot in music, in the music
business. But I mean, it's just a part of life in everybody's l=
ife.
The only difference is that we're in the spotlight. A lot of people
go through things and they, it doesn't get really noticed.
I: Now the new single is called Help Me. Is there an underlying
message in that as you move towards some new whatever this new world=
is gonna be for you?
Nick: We'll put it this way, with the album you can kind of I =
mean,
this whole album has been a really personal thing to me. I really,
like, when it came to the title, when it came to the way of recording
it. You know, Now or Never I mean, I felt like now was the time that=
I was gonna do this, you know, and I feel like all the things, when
it comes to the music and stuff, if I didn't write a song, you know, =
it has to really mean something special to me. It has to mean
something. And the song really did. If you listen closely to the
whole album, it's very personal.
I: Wow. Thank you so much for being so personal with us this morning.
It's called Help Me and the album comes out October 29th.
Nick: Yup.
I: Nick Carter thank you ver y much for being here with us today and
the Backstreet Boys are apparently not breaking up.

Pero antes de que los Backstreet boys hicieran la gira Black & Blue, Nick sintió estar super bien con una cantante. "era como, esta chica es realmente genial," Nick dice. Seguramente has oído hablar probablemente su rompimiento muy-publico con la novia de largo plazo Willa Ford en octubre del 2000. Vivían juntos; incluso tenían perros juntos. Durante ese tiempo, ella intentaba conseguir poseer su primer cd, mientras que él trataba de mantener su relación por debajo de todo "soy bastante reservado," dijo Nick
"No me gusta hablar sobre que esta aconteciendo en mi vida cuando me enamoro por que la gente comienza a hacer preguntas, y entonces todo a cerca de tu vida pasa a ser público. Pero ella siempre quiso que yo contará sobre nuestra relación. " Cuando Willa consiguió un acuerdo para grabar, su relación eventualmente comenzó a separarse. Las fans de Nick, pensaban que Willa estaba solo usandolo, fue un escándalo.Ellas pusieron una docena de sitios we diciendo "Yo Odio A Willa Ford"sitios con nombres tipo : SAYNOTOWILLAFORD.COM & WILLAFORDSUCKS.COM. De regreso a Enero de este año,después del término del Tour B&B,y los BSB estaban de vacaciones,Nick estaba inquieto , decidiendo que hacer de su vida. " Yo estaba divirtiéndome en las afueras de un club ( En Tampa) y ahí ocurrió una pelea en las afueras" él dice. "Los policías estaban tratando de limpiar el área, y este chico vino hacia mi,-él no estaba con un uniforme- dice y," me metieron dentro del auto".Y pregunte ¿Por qué?En este día, yo juro por mi alma yo no hice ningún problema.En serio?? "Yo no hice nada", Nick insiste."Yo solo estaba en el lugar donde ocurrió el problema, y básicamente, todo estuvo mal". Muy Mal. Cuando el policía arresto a Nick y lo puso de espalda a su auto de patrull, él comenzo a llorar."Okay es normal llorar"dice él."Yo no soy Tommy Lee, tú sabes".Nick fue arrestado por resistirse al pedido del oficial, y como parte de su castigo, él tuvo que hacer servicios a la comunidad en un Hospital. Mirando hacía atrás, Nick dice que,ahora el agradece todo lo que sucedió."Yo visite a algunos niños enfermos y eso fue lo más lindo, yo creo,esos chicos estaban muy felices´"dice él."Verdaderamente yo quiero agradecer al Departamento de Policía de Tampa por arrestarme".
El arresto forzó a Nick para parar de estar en tantas fiestas y comenzar a buscar por su alma." Yo creía que uno tenía diferentes personalidades, una muy seria una realmente loca," dice él."Yo comenze en esta banda y querían continuar en el escenario donde yo quería festejar.Tenían puntos que yo no ligaba para mi. Yo estaba como,un enfermo sabes?" Durante ese tiempo del arresto, Nick limpio su acto. "Yo creo que esas cosas suceden por una razón."Dice él.

"En los BSB, todas las cosas que yo escribía eran del tipo como "I'll Never Break Your Heart",pero yo quería escribir lo opuesto",Nick sonríe."Yo quería que mis canciones tuvieran esas vibraciones divertidas." Después de 10 años de ser "Hermano Pequeño del Grupo Multiplatino, Nick esta finalmente listo para seguir su propio camino. " Cuando tú estás en un grupo de chicos mayores, ellos quieren que tú luzcas y actues de cierta manera"Dice Nick. Mientras trabaja en su nuevo álbum, Nick ha estado ocupado con su familia- y él tiene un nuevo tatoo para mostrarlos: dos pequeños pies negros que parecen que alguien piso en su pecho. Mi padre tiene un * blackfoot indian* en él, y mi abuela tuvo la mitad del blackfoot Indian también, entonces yo también tengo en mi, dice. Nick también tiene un tatoo estilo Nativo Americano de un lazo alrededor de su brazo derecho, y un tiburón y una nota musical en otra parte de su cuerpo.( No, nosotros no vimos todos esos personalmente, pero sabemos que ellos existen).
Nick vive cerca de sus padres en Tampa y es muy unido a su hermano Aarón, y a su hermana Leslie. Sus primeras letras de canciones fueron incluidas en el primer CD de Aarón, y él siempre a apoyado la carrera de su pequeño hermano. Él también esta con la mirada fija observando a los pololos ( novios) de Leslie. Leslie tiene 16 y su novio 18, a mi no me gusta hablar sobre eso, dice. Después de todo, este es un chico que ( como Leo en Titanic) le gusta atraer a sus novias. La cara es todo nos dice, Tú puedes ver el alma de una persona en sus ojos. Eso es lo que me atrae más. Queremos saber que tipo de chica Nick esta buscando ( solo por curiosidad). No soy picky dice.
He salido con diferentes tipos de chicas. Mientras ellas tengan un muy corazón, y que sean cool interiormente, eso es todo lo que realmente me importa a mí. Tú podrías pensar que Nick sabe mucho sobre chicas, nosotros sabemos que millones están esperando por él para preguntarles, pero en efecto, Nick tiene un problema, Yo soy tímidodice, Me gusta cuando alguien se acerca a mí. been able to uh just um get a lot of stuff out that I've been holding
in since I was a little kid ya know. Touring around the world &
things like that & I was starting to write & um figure out myself &
find myself in a way. It's been a exp...well that's how it's been for
me so...

Nick-It was..well it was a little different because you don't have 4
other uh different opinions ya know? Things that ya know when your in
a group you have to kind of uh ya know give a little and take a
little. It's more...its not all you ya know? & that's what makes a
group. But when its yourself it's like you can almost just throw
everyhting out onto the table & just see how its gonna be. It's kind
of...very experimental & that was the fun part cuz I uh ya know I've
always been very big...rock influenced..all my life. New rock & roll
& old rock & roll

Nick-And so I wanted to definitly add that element to the music like
uh pop ya know to the pop and make like a pop/rock type element But
it's a little new a little different & fresh so...but soo its
really..been really cool to create & just kinda come up with

Mientras el debut como solista de Timberlake parece ser solamente una conjunción de colaboraciones de estrellas, otro cantante salido de un famoso grupo pop está tomando la dirección contraria.
De los 37 tracks que Nick Carter ha grabado para su primer albúm, solamente uno incluye invitados especiales. Y ese track, con el artista reggae Mr. Vegas, podría no ser incluido al final.
"No creo que uno necesite [colaboradores]," explicó Nick durante los Teen Choice Awards."Los BSB nunca han realizado colaboraciones en sus albumes. Para mí, en lo personal, me encantaría. Pero pienso que al menos para el primero sería cool simplemenmte mostrar quién soy yo- dejar que todos sepan de qué voy'.

In advance of his annual lupus fundraiser in Orlando, we scored a rare opportunity to chat with Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough about his work with the band and with the foundation he created in order to help fight lupus. His beloved sister Caroline succumbed to the debilitating disease just as BSB's careers were taking off, stunning the tight-knit Dorough clan.
But the initial shock did not delay their forceful and postive reaction-The Dorough Lupus Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help find a cure.
Speaking with Howie we came away with a sense that you can have it all-fame, fortune and also a strong sense of civic duty. Just another way in which BSB have reached out and affected so many millions around the globe!
Popstar: First, tell us some inside infro about the next BSB album.
Howie: We've been together for the last month doing a lot of writing, doing a lot of demos. We've had a chance to work with Glen Ballard, who's really well-known for his stuff with Alanis and Dave Matthews, and we just came from Atlanta where we were working with Jermaine Dupri.
We've gotten some good stuff from Diane Warren recently. We're possibly even looking at maybe doing a duet, a collaboration with somebody. Possibly a female artist or a rap artist, depending on
which direction the songs go. We're trying to go with a little bit more organic sound, more of the earthier tones, live instruments, trumpets. We're trying not to hit too hard on the electronic sound.
We're kind of experimenting, trying a bunch of different styles, seeing what comes out of it for us. We're trying to pick these other people's brains. We're trying to push the envelope a little bit.
This album to us is going to solidfy us so if we decide to take a year off, people hopefully won't forget about us.
What's your proudest musical moment ever?
]I'd say probably "How Did I Fall in Love," which I wrote-I'm very proud of it. You always say you wanna marry your best friend, someone who really knows you. Group-wise, I'd say our best song was "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely." "I Want It That Way" is a song I'm surprised has been so successful.
We've always joked about it beacuse if you listen to it, it doesn't really make that sense! [Laughs]
What's the scoop on Nick's solo career. Are you all okay with it?
Nicky is actually working on some solo material right now. It's something that he's been wanting to do for a while and each of us, you know, we're in this together as a group but we also support each other in individual stuff, whether it's singing, acting, modeling, whatever-it's a matter of creating the rigt time for everything. Everything is possible, it's all a matter of timing. We're just trying to figure it all out right nw, you know,
"Backstreet Boys album first-or vice versa?"
I'm not really sure yet for me if I'd do a solo album. I'd possibly like to start out doing some acting first, musical theater. I took a meeting a couple of days ago with a gentleman who wants me to be
involved in a new Grease coming out, but I'm not really sure. My first priority is Backstreet Boys so I think of that first.
Is there still a mutual respect among BSB's members?
There has to be or we'd be flying in five different directions and never get an album done.
Why did you start The Dorough Lupus Foundation?
When my sister passed away three years ago, I guess I was trying to grasp the whole reality of it and of life and fame and fortune and what was my purpose of being. Her doctor had said, "You being who you
are, you could make a big difference." It's a very, very hushed disease. People don't talk about it and feel it's hard to explain what it's about.
I said, "I've been so blessed, this is my way of giving back to something close to my heart."
I tried taking the negative and turning it into a positive. Maybe that's my purpose in life.

Hey, Nick, para ser honestos los fans alemanes piensan que

Nick: Yo tenía material para ir a hacer en Alemania y realmente siento no poder estar allí mucho tiempo y poder hacer grandes entrevistas y apariciones en televisión, pero en cuanto mi álbum salga a la venta volveré...(se rie)
